"COLD FOGGY MORNING"

As I sit on my couch, all wrapped in my winter robe, with a cup of coffee---
I look out over the lake, with the sun coming up slowly--peaking through the fog. The frost covers, the grass on the yard & the tin on the boat house. The cold makes me move slow, in the mornings--it's almost like, it's not Florida. When it is cold outside, time seems to almost stand still---

Cutter, Cutter, & More---------- CUTTER MALONE--My Son

Well, God knew what he was doing, when he gave me Cutter, of course----BUT---am I suppose to be so tested at my age, because, I am way toooo old for kids to test me anymore. Cutter Malone could write a book on "How to Play Your Mom"---I really don't know why he doesn't, then we all could retire!

Talking about being "19 yrs old" and lost to the world--not knowing--which way to go or what to do. I've helped in everyway I know how, now it's up to him. But, will he get it??? Hopefully--he will in time, understand life & what it means to be responsible.

Quiet Day

As I sit & work from home today---not feeling well--sore throat-again!! It's quiet in the house. Everyone is gone for the day & I love it. Work seems to flow by & I get alot done. TV is off, just the quietness--it's hard to explain, how I do like the quietness-just like sometimes, in the mornings with my coffee, I sit in the dark overlooking the lake, watching the sun come up--just sitting--being quiet!! It's my time for saying a few prayers, wondering what today will bring & what all went on yesterday--

Messy Day---Rain & Wind

As I sit home today---sick with a cold---I watch the rain & the wind, out over the lake. It is beautiful. This all started at 5:30am---getting ready for work, I decided I still did not feel well, from yesterdays sore throat. So, here I sit, home from work or working from home, which is a privilege for me. Neither, here or there, I did not go out today or yesterday. Working alittle, watching TV, talking on the phone, reading alittle, I guess you could say "alittle of everything" trying to rest up for tomorrow's busy day. No sun at all today, just plain ugly, all day! I feel sorry for those people, having to drive today, which I am usually, one of them.
Ugly day--when out in it, but how beautiful, when I sit & look out over the lake, watching the big, old, Oak Tree blowing in the wind & the birds sitting still on the dock.
I will be better tomorrow---hope to see some sunshine!!

"Cold & Rainy Day"

Well, we (Cassi & I) were disappointed in NO SNOW today in Florida---It's been cold all day---no sunshine---looks like its about to rain, or maybe snow!!! Been in our PJ's all day--how much fun is that!!! We watched the movie "Bewitched"---made Spaghetti,for lunch---now we've made Apple Crisp for dessert---hot & delicious!!
More movies to come, Georgia Rules, at 7:00pm---then maybe alittle coffee, with that apple crisp---what a great night & oh ya, Cassi says we have to have popcorn---
